After a fire on Christmas Eve in 2021 — with no injuries to people or horses — B&D Builders was engaged to rebuild this equestrian site better than before. The veterinary diagnostic and treatment facility once again serves Northern Maryland and the surrounding region with ambulatory care. The new barn was built on the previous building’s footprint, but adds more natural light and ventilation, as well as improved storage for hay and straw. Rubber mats line the stall walls to minimize risk of injury to horses, while fitted rubber mats provide a “dig-proof” floor with good drainage. The number of treatment stalls for the veterinary office was doubled, with meeting rooms and a conference room added to the second floor for community use.
