B&D breathed new life into this stone and timber bank barn without changing its incredible character. Rough-hewn logs dating from the 1700s were saved, lain over stout chestnut beams as strong as the day they were felled. The repointed stone calls to mind the natural rocky soil in this part of Southeastern Pennsylvania, blending exquisitely with the patina of the timber. Outside, a patio beckons for fireside conversations overlooking the pastures below.
