O’Leary Arena Louisa, VA

— scroll to view project —

In creating this riding arena, several factors were considered, including air flow, lighting, materials, the safety of horse and rider, and ease of access to the facility. With arched open-air windows adorning one side, and large fans overhead, air flow is never a problem. In fact, “garage doors” can be opened on the opposite length of the arena to make it a pavilion setting for maximum breeze. Large windows and skylights bring in plenty of light, while hand-bent wood bumpers keep horses safely away from the outside walls. High-quality timber beams and steel roof supports combine to make this a structure that will last for generations.
