This busy equine veterinary office needed to be welcoming to horses as well as their owners and caretakers. To suit the architectural heritage of the area, the exterior stone and single-shutter windows match the style of centuries-old barns and homes found near the practice. Custom barn doors lead patients inside, where stalls, exam areas, and a medical lab offer ample room to care for the horses who visit. Dormers and two large cupolas allow for natural light to flow into the building for a calming ambience.

A stone and wood bank barn with large barn doors and the sign Unionville Equine Associates, P.C. above the entrance. Small shrubs and pink flowers line the front.
A small cupola with windows and a pointed copper roof sits atop a beige luxury horse barn with gray shingles, set against a cloudy sky.
