At B&D Builders, customers are more like family. And that’s certainly the case with John and Leslie Malone, who first partnered with B&D in 2008 to create a distinguished equestrian facility that would considerably influence dressage and breeding in the United States. Over the years, B&D has continued to work hand-in-hand with the Malones to add extra amenities and enhance the beloved estate.
The property, known as Riveredge, originally consisted of two barns, one with 16 horse stalls and the other with 20. B&D builders transformed these barns into 28 horse stalls and a magnificent indoor training arena with custom-made cupolas decorating the roofs.
Time went on, Riveredge expanded, and the need for additional horse stalls was addressed
The Malones had the easy decision to contract B&D once again. This project involved an office building and building stalls to focus on the breeding of horses. After the completion of this project, two more barns were renovated, one for the horses that have embryo transplants and the other for overflow stalls.
As Riveredge developed, the demand for more on-site facilities spiked, and several residential buildings were added to the estate
These included the main residence (with covering pool and added timber frame pavilion), the Farm Manager’s home, and the renovation of a Georgian mansion. B&D continues to work with the Malones on projects and visits the property twice a year to inspect the buildings for any maintenance issues.
With help from B&D Builders, Riveredge stands out, with its large windows, glulam arches, indoor riding arena, clubhouse, and extensive amenities. Each detail of the equestrian facility is carefully designed and adds an invaluable element to the property.
